Fostering research in Economic Geography

The Economic Geography Research Group aims to foster research and its dissemination in economic geography by organising meetings, developing contact and cooperation among geographers and other social scientists, and promoting the publication of research.

Go to About Us

Annual Conference

Every year we sponsor a wide range of sessions - both solely and in collaboration with other research groups - at the annual RGS-IBG Conference.

Annual Symposia

Each summer we organise two back-to-back symposia - a postgraduate event and a themed cutting-edge research meeting.

Postgraduate Prizes

Two prizes of £100 are offered each year to the best PhD and Masters theses in economic geography.

Working Papers

The Working Paper Series features theoretically-informed and original research in economic geography.

Book Reviews

We feature book reviews of interest to economic geographers. The aim is to cut the time lag between the publication of a book and the appearance of the review in academic journals.
